Early Friday, ESPN reported Dave Brandon will resign from position as Athletic Director of University of Michigan in a press conference this afternoon

In a press conference, Michigan president Mark Schlissel confirmed Brandon's resignation.

Jim Hackett, who played football with Dave Brandon at Michigan, was named interim Athletic Director.

Per SBNation's Ohio State blog, Hackett is the former CEO of a Western Michigan furniture company.

The Giants became the first team to win an away Game 7 since 1979. In all three championships since moving to San Francisco (2010, 2012, and now, 2014) the Giants won the Series away.

Current Cubs manager Rick Renteria is out after one season. The Cubs finished last in the National League Central in 2014, winning only 73 games and losing 89 to finish with a winning percentage of 0.451.

Joe Maddon managed Tampa Bay from 2006 until the end of the 2014 season, when he opted-out of his contract.

Maddon is known for his ability to produce quality teams on a low budget. He left the Rays with a .517 winning percentage, one World Series appearance, and two Manager of the Year awards. The Cubs will look to Maddon to develop prospects and produce their first winning season since 2009.

Broncos Fan Who Disappeared During Game Found Unharmed

Paul Kitterman, 53, was recognized outside a K-Mart in Pueblo, Colorado, on Tuesday night. He was about 100 miles from Mile High Stadium, where he was last seen.

Paul Kitterman, the Denver man who disappeared during halftime at last Thursday's Broncos game, was found on Tuesday night.

Kitterman's stepson, Jarod Tonneson, told police his stepfather did not have his cell phone or much cash with him when he disappeared.

Someone recognized Kitterman in Pueblo, Colorado, more than 100 miles from Mile High Stadium. Local police met him in the parking lot of a K-Mart at around 6:30 p.m.
