The Washington team plays the Minnesota Vikings today.
Before Sunday's Washington vs. Minnesota game, thousands of protesters gathered at the University of Minnesota to rally against the use of "Redskins" as a team name.
The Minnesota Vikings are hosting this season's and the next's home games at TFC Bank Stadium while their new permanent stadium is being built just a few miles away.

In a press conference, Michigan president Mark Schlissel confirmed Brandon's resignation.

It’s the club’s third championship in five years.
The Giants became the first team to win an away Game 7 since 1979. In all three championships since moving to San Francisco (2010, 2012, and now, 2014) the Giants won the Series away.
The Giants took an early lead with 2 runs in the top of the second, but the Royals evened the score with two runs off Tim Hudson, who was pulled after only 1.2 innings.
At 39 years, three months and 16 days old, Tim Hudson became the oldest pitcher to ever start a Game 7.
