Fans from a rival team allegedly unleashed mace or pepper spray inside a tunnel as players re-entered the field Thursday night. Now, the “Super Classic” match is being dubbed a “super shame” by fans.

The melee started when Boca fans doused a tunnel with peppers spray or mace as members of the rival River team entered the field.
River players stumbled onto the field to start the second half of the scoreless match covering their faces, rubbing their eyes, and dousing themselves with bottles of water, the Associated Press reported.
River said in a statement that at least four players were diagnosed at the hospital with inflamed corneas, while several more suffered burns from the spray.
Former Argentine player and manager, Carlos Bilardo, told local television that Thursday's episode was not the first:
In New York, Italy or England, [violent cases like this] have been worked out by entering in the stadium and taking out those who commit this crimes. This is not an isolated case, this has been going on for a long time and it has to end.

The New England Patriots offered their response to the Wells Report on a website titled, "The Wells Report in Context."
The lengthy rebuttal documents the team's issues with the NFL report on how the Patriots and quarterback Tom Brady were likely behind the two locker room attendants deflating footballs used in the AFC Championship game.
The Patriots were fined $1 million for their role in Deflategate and stripped of two draft picks. Brady was suspended for four games, but will reportedly appeal.
"The conclusions of the Wells Report are at best, incomplete, incorrect and lack context," the report reads.
Annotations to the Wells Report were made by Daniel L. Goldberg, a senior parter in the Boston office of Morgan Lewis, who was present during all of the interviews of Patriots personnel conducted at Gillette Stadium.
Here are some key take-aways from the 20,000-word report:
"The problem with relying on text messages to derive meaning are well known. They do not convey tone of voice. They are not well-suited for humor or sarcasm. Shorthand expressions or terms routinely used by those sending texts to each other may not be understood or appreciated. How many people have sent a joking text which could be misinterpreted if read cold by a third person?"
"Using Ideal Gas Law calculations, footballs set pre-game at 71 degree indoor temperatures at the high end of the Rule 2 range –13.5 psi – will drop below 12.5 when the outside temperature is at or below 52 degrees. It is safe to assume that countless NFL games have therefore used below-regulation footballs – and no one has ever noticed."

The organization informed employees Tuesday that they will receive full pay for the week of games rescheduled or moved due to the riots.

Orioles employees were informed Tuesday that they will be compensated for the week of games that were rescheduled and relocated due to riots in late April.
In a letter obtained by BuzzFeed News that was posted next to an employee time clock, the Orioles called the circumstances "extraordinary."
Beneath the Orioles logo, the notice said:
Due to the extraordinary circumstances that led to several cancelled or rescheduled games, the Orioles organization will compensate all hourly employees for hours that would have been ordinarily worked the week of April 27. This adjustment will be added [sic] will be added to your 5/29 paycheck.
Another Camden Yards employee who works for Delaware North, which manages concessions for the team, told BuzzFeed News the employee union will pay $200 for the time lost.
The Orioles did not immediately return a request for comment regarding employee compensation.
In late April, as authorities clashed with crowds protesting the police-related death of Freddie Gray, the Orioles postponed two games against the White Sox and played the final game of the series without an audience present. Another homestand was scheduled for that week, but it was moved to Tampa Bay, where the Orioles acted as the home team.
The team collected no door revenue for the empty White Sox game, and though they were the home team in Tampa (and therefore collected door revenue), the disparity between Orioles attendance and Rays attendance is significant. In 2014, the Orioles averaged a home attendance of more than 30,000 fans. The Rays averaged just under 18,000 for home games. The attendance figure for each of the three relocated Rays-Orioles games is in the 11,000 range.
In April, Stacey Dash, a server at Dempsey's Brew Pub at Camden Yards, told BuzzFeed News that although the potential for lost income would be a tough hit financially for her, she appreciated the concern for the safety of employees.
Dash said she averages between $150 and $300 in salary, plus tips. Dempsey's is also operated by Delaware North, so Dash will receive $200 for the week, which she said is "better than nothing."
During the unexpected week off, Dash said she intended to "support the local bars and businesses that are affected by the curfew" with her coworkers.
The Orioles, despite taking a hit, never presented the financial repercussions of their organization as important in context of what was going on in the immediate surrounding area of their stadium.
John Angelos, an executive vice president and son of the team owner, issued a lengthy statement that focused heavily on the loss of jobs, opportunities, and civil rights protections in Baltimore.
"We need to keep in mind people are suffering and dying around the U.S.," Angelos said. "While we are thankful no one was injured at Camden Yards, there is a far bigger picture for poor Americans in Baltimore and everywhere who don't have jobs and are losing economic civil and legal rights, and this makes inconvenience at a ball game irrelevant in light of the needless suffering government is inflicting upon ordinary Americans."
After the empty stadium White Sox game, Orioles manager Buck Showalter spoke candidly about how he approaches discussions involving race.
"You hear people try to weigh in on things that they really don't know anything about," Showalter said. "I've never been black, OK? So I don't know. I can't put myself there. I've never faced the challenged they face, so I understand the emotion."
The team is valued at $2.6 billion, by the by, and Tom Brady himself has made well over $150 million throughout the course of his NFL career.
We obviously know we won't reach One Million Dollars, however we do believe the fine is bulls**t and want to help anyway we can. So whatever is donated will be donated to the New England Patriots in help with the fine!
As we venture with this, we will do frequent updates to show progression of this! If enough is made to make the travel, we will fly down there (on our own expenses) and deliver a check in person!
Forbes in 2014 also tallied up Brady's salary over the course of his tenure as a Patriot and put it at $154,779,500 (and that's not including bonuses or endorsement deals).

There are currently 44 donations to the fund for a whopping total of $1,210.
Daniel Knowles, who donated $10, said: "I'm not exactly rolling in the cash but I can do this for a cause."
