None of the 31 other NFL teams chose to claim the former Parramatta Eels star.
Ex-rugby league MVP Jarryd Hayne is now an NFL free agent, just days after he was unceremoniously cut from the 49er's squad.
Following his dismissal from the San Francisco lineup, none of the other 31 NFL teams chose to approach Hayne for a spot on their roster.
Now, the door has been opened for Hayne to be re-signed by the 49ers, and it's a likely possibility following injuries to key runnings backs and punt returners Reggie Bush, Carlos Hyde, and Mike Davis.

Today it was announced that Foxtel had been beaten in a bidding war for the rights to broadcast the English Premier League by Optus. The news led to an absolute monsoon of grief and anger.
It's not yet known how Optus plans to broadcast the EPL from 2016 onwards, but that didn't stop a barrage of abuse making its way onto the Foxtel Facebook page.
