Khloé Kardashian Is Throwing Lamar Odom A Birthday Party At His Hospital

Khloé Kardashian on Friday is throwing Lamar Odom a 36th birthday party at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles as the NBA star continues to recover, sources close to the family told BuzzFeed News.

Odom's close friends and former teammates from the Clippers will be at the intimate celebration, which comes after he moved out of the intensive care unit on Monday.

"Khloé will spend the day by his side," a source close to the reality TV star told BuzzFeed News.

Odom's aunt, JaNean Mercer, also released a statement marking the occasion.

Happy Birthday Lamar! We want to THANK everyone from around the world for your continued prayers and well wishes for Lamar and our family.

Every birthday with Lamar is special, but today is an especially momentous occasion and we honor GOD for this day thank HIM for allowing us to spend this time together.

Odom has been making steady improvements since being transferred to Cedars-Sinai from a hospital in Las Vegas on Oct. 19. Odom was originally hospitalized after was found unconscious at a Nevada brothel on Oct. 13 from a suspected drug overdose.
